OptiBiotix Health (OPTI) has announced it has appointed Graham Myers as part-time Finance Director “to support the focus on driving each business unit and the group to profitability”. With it also added that “the appointment reflects the progress we have made in 2023 after a difficult 2022”, we look for the prospective trading news to boost the shares from a current 26.25p, below £24 million market capitalisation. Below, you can see two photos of the Greek Hovel, where I have now arrived. Gosh, it is wonderful here. I describe my trip, starting in Wrexham at 12:00 on Monday, and ending at 3 PM GMT today. There was a great deal of anxiety involved, including the most stressful half an hour i can remember at a toll booth near Aix. Forgive the voice. Last week’s cold has left me sounding like I have been swallowing gravel. I start with a few words about distractions today which included ordering 72 blackthorn plants and 12 wild blackberry bushes and fetching antique Welsh furniture to go to Greece. Then I ponder whether Nigel is reinvesting his Ariana (AAU) dividends in Ariana (AAU).I explain why I am not and where I am putting the cash. The 3x company I mentioned on Saturday, is a well known one and will be exposed via a multi-part series kicking off tomorrow at 8.30 AM and it is, I am sure, a zero. Until you see a good few RNS statements each month saying that “shares are suspended pending clarification” you are not in a bear market. As you know I am reviewing my pension as discussed HERE. As such I am chatting to various CEOs who I have backed and yesterday evening I had a long chat with Stuart Ashman of Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX). He is not a bluffing promoter but, I believe, a sober and grounded chap. I came away from the call just incredibly excited. I explain why the share price is where it is but also why this could within a couple of years be a 10 bagger but it could equally be a 20 bagger. Certainly any free cash within my SIPP will, even at twice today’s price be going into this stock. And if I am right there is a clear implication for Optibiotix (OPTI) so I am not selling any shares in it either. Footnote/correction. Steve O’Hara is doing an online presentation and Q&A tonight. I am not attending as I am washing my hair. Brokers notes and investor love-ins are all very well what I want to see now are material revenues and profits. And, while notes and presentations may tickle the share price, a material re-rate can only come from those sales and profits being delivered. Yesterday it was Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) which allowed Optibiotix (OPTI) to dump shares less than six months after announcing a firm lock in agreement lasting 12 months. Today it is Powerhouse Energy (PHE) showing that these announcements are utterly meaningless and investors cannot rely on them at all.

I think Optibiotix (OPTI) shares are very cheap as are those of Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and am a loyal shareholder in both expecting to treble my money from here. Nor do I begrudge Optibiotix selling a few shares in Skinbiotherapeutics as it announced it had today as I imagine that will more than pay for a Nasdaq listing which may drive a re-rate. But I suggest that, in light of today’s events, a document signed by Steve O’Hara and Nomad and broker Cenkos is a worthless piece of toilet paper and both have legged over and deceived investors in Skinbiotherapeutics. Let me explain.

OptiBiotix Health (OPTI) has announced a “Commercial strategy update” which shows strong progress in its strategy to initially build sales and brand presence and then move up the value chain by selling more product than ingredients and commercialising further compounds. I am a massive shareholder in Optibiotix I(OPTI) and believe that I will do very well from my investment, where my average in price is c9p. The shares are now 61.5p mid and I think thery will easily double from here within 18 months if not far sooner. The prices of all AIM stocks are now essentially a binary bet. They are either 100% overvalued as they will go bust or, having collapsed, are fundamentally incredibly cheap as they are not going bust whatever the share price says. Optibiotix (OPTI) is very much in the latter category. I accept folks are panicking generally or they are facing margin calls elsewhere and have to sell shares to meet them. Do not get me wrong. I am a big fan of Steve O’Hara. I think he is doing a cracking job at Optibiotix (OPTI) where – as a loyal and very material (for me) shareholder – I expect to see the shares more than double from 62p within the next year. However, I’d be a hypocrite if I did not hold O’Hara to the same standards as obvious scallywags like Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS) when it came to the disclosure of material information.

It has been announced OptiBiotix Health (OPTI) has sold 2.2 million further shares in 2017 spun-off onto AIM SkinBioTherapeutics (SBTX). But if you watched the interview with Steve O’Hara the other day, HERE, you will know that the majority of those already signed are now generating revenues and the curve in nearly all of those is sharply upwards. It is a Proactive interview so the questions are not exactly taxing. But the ansswers given by Steve O'Hara of Optibiotix (OPTI) are illuminating. "The majority" of partners are now generating revenues. This company has signed almost 30 deals. That tells me that the massive ramp up in sales in H2 of last year will continue and indeed accelerate in H1 this year and beyond so full steam ahead. I reckon the shares are a buy at the current 84p and at up to 90p and see the shares motoring ahead to 125p+ in short order. Note what O'Hara says about the pipeline of announcements.

Having top sliced our holdings in Optibiotix (OPTI) a few weeks ago I see the shares are back at 94p today despite it having served up cracking news last week. I am asked if I am panicked? Telit (TCM) is under investigation by the FCA and Eqtec (ETQ) has really screwed up although why can't its PRs tell the truth for once and admit that its change of strategy was because I caught them all with their pants down and exposed them? On 6th December I said that a token share purchase by Jim Mellon of shares on Condor Gold (CNR) was a spoof as it was so small for Jim. Moreover Condor was running out of cash and would do a placing within months. Mellon's PR man chewed my ear off. Well hey ho today there was a placing. A pattern of such spoofs and a subsequent placing has continued. Will I get an apology? I also look at lessons from Flybe (FLYB) and the non bid, at Fevertree (FEVR) director share sales, at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) which is also spoofing, 13 Energy (13E) - "you say it best when you say nothing at all " - R Keating. You know that I view soft soap paid for interviews with folks like Proactive in a deeply negative way. But Steve O' Hara of Optibiotix (OPTI) comes, I believe, across well and explains the import of recent announcements. In this interview O Hara gives the sort of hard numbers I have used in my writings on this stock. Paul Scott shows an extremer double standard in describing this as "nudge, nudge wink, wink" - I just called it talking to a company which is what anyone sensible would do. I am very excited by working through the most wonkish of data sets to show Channel 4 was serving up A grade fake news as it reported on the drought in SA last night. More on that HERE. But the statements Steve O'Hara of Optibiotix (OPTI) makes on the value of deals signed ( 4 minutes in) and the pipeline explain why I am so bullish. This was not going to be my tip in the recently published book "The Magnificent 7" which you can download for free HERE. I was set to tip Optibiotix (OPTI) at c40p. Unfortunately for you (but fortunately for me since we own shares in the company) the share price has raced ahead to a 48p offer. I still think that they could head much higher and Zak Mir reckons that Optibiotix shares will be 60p by October. I think, that is what a chartist terms a long term view.
I take a rather longer, long term view than my illiterate Old Harrovian pal Zak and note that at least one broker (Hybridan) reckons that Optibiotix shares could trade at 200p by 2017 IF it delivers on all that it has promised. But I accept that there are a lot of IFs in that analysis and anyway you don’t want a stock that has already raced ahead since August.
And so that brings me to a sister company, Premaitha (NIPT)
