Comrade Brian Basham: why did you get into bed with a Tory MP? Net Zero Infrastructure the unravel continues

When Net Zero Infrastructure (NZI) listed on the Standard list as a shell looking to make a “green reversal” I warned my old friend the hard left champagne socialist, comrade Brian Basham that it would end in tears as do most companies where a director is a failed Tory MP. Brian thought he knew better but today….

Going through my father’s papers with Daphne du Maurier and the Mincemeat Underpants again

Every now and again the Mrs. suggests that I sort out the boxes and boxes of family papers including those of my late father. If I can throw away even some of them it will make the study and a storage room underneath the stairs that little bit less cluttered. In my heart of hearts I know that she has a point. Will any of my kids be that interested in the letters of my great great grandfather Sir Courtenay Ilbert or far more obscure dead white males?  I suspect not. As a “nudge” the Mrs. sometimes leaves a book called “Swedish Death Clearing” on my pillow.

As daughter Olaf sits her final Oxford exam, I remember her premature birth as Carla Foster sent to jail for murdering her baby

Back in 1967 when abortion was legalized in the UK thanks to Lord David Steel, the paedophile protecter, we were told that it would be a rare and unusual medical procedure. In the first full year of legal abortions, 1969, 54,819 lives were ended.  By 2021 that number had soared to 214,256. So that means that thanks to Lord Steel just over 10 million unborn babies have now been aborted in the UK and this year 1 in 4 conceptions will end in abortion.  These are appalling figures but some think that the numbers are not high enough. I write this today, thinking about my daughter Olaf, born at just 26 weeks almost 22 years ago weighing 1 lb 4 oz.

Spotting "winners" with the next Chancellor, Labour's Rachel Reeves

I have already demonstrated that Rachel Reeves MP is perhaps the most economically illiterate person in Halitosis Hall, and that takes some doing. An obsession of politicians is always “picking winners” in the private sector. And so, yesterday, Ms Reeves joined the man who did not prosecute Jimmy Savile, visiting a company I have covered many times before…

Will wretched Wrexham Tory MP, Sarah Atherton, dare knock on my door tonight?

Hell I voted for her, something for which I must again apologise for to everybody else in Wrexham, but surely that merits a personal visit. It seems as if Wrexham Athletic is here in the last village in Wales tonight. At the school gates M, a fellow young mum who is a true libertarian as is her husband D, greets me with the news that flyers are out saying Atherton will be “door knocking” tonight. M says that D has a few words for our MP in this red wall seat and one suspects that Ms Atherton will not enjoy that monologue.

The wretched Tory MP for Wrexham, Sarah Atherton, plunges to a new low on Afghanistan

I have already apologised to the people of Wrexham for being one of those voting in Tory Sarah Atherton as our MP, in a seat Labour had held since 1935. If I could cast my ballot again, I would. To make amends, as Ms. Atherton serves up ever more reasons why she is unfit to be the town dog catcher let alone our MP, I shall chronicle her idiocy and sheer wretchnedness here. To make this manageable, I shall write up only her most horrific announcements. Today’s tweet on Afghanistan passes the test. Gosh she is despicable.

Joy Morrissey MP is so stupid I want to vomit

The country is drowning in debt. The Government is running a record deficit so adding to that debt, a burden for all of us as taxpayers and our kids and their kids. So what does Tory MP Joy Morrisey suggest? Yes! Another scheme of such mind-numbing pointlessness for the Government to spunk other folks’ cash on. It is so pointless, it is almost as if this was a contest to fund the most appalling use of taxpayers’ cash and Joy was determined to win. To think that we are paying Joy an MP’s bloated salary and, inter alia, on her expense claims, the cost of a TV license and a packet of face masks, to come up with ideas like this.

Despite all the huffing and puffing about how the Tories care for what they might term “ordinary” people in so called Red Wall seats, places like Wrexham where I live, if you scratch the surface of a Tory MP you usually find an unashamed snob who secretly despises those he or she views as the peasantry. BREAKING: The Letter confirming FCA Criminal Investigation into Julie Meyer MBE – now Greek Politicians lured into her web

Thanks to Winnileaks I have a dynamite letter from the FCA to one of Julie Meyer’s 32 unpaid, and thus ex, lawyers confirming what is an ongoing criminal investigation. But first, how did she get her MBE?  Answer: she had political friends including the late Paddy Pantsdown and Liam Fox MP. Someone high up nominated her. Then, as her UK flagship Ariadne Capital collapsed into administration, she fled to Malta where she also had political pals. That was until the criminal charges were filed and she ran out of other folks’ cash. Then it was Switzerland and Greece where again leading politicians have fallen for her charms. But do they know about the UK criminal investigation?

The Tories politicise Easter - it is just a bit tacky

I am glad when politicians of any party say Happy Easter or Merry Christmas rather than, not wishing to cause offence to those of other faiths who will not be offended anyway, saying “Happy Egg day” or “Happy Holidays.” I really do dislike that phrase Happy Holidays when it is wheeled out for the days folks get off work ONLY because that is the time of year Jesus was born. A history lesson for dim, liberty-hating, Tory MP Simon Hoare

Do you remember the Tory party of old?  The one that really loved the idea of individual freedom and a smaller state taking less of your money in tax and not telling you what you should or should not do. I rather forget when the rot set in but today the Tories have abandoned the idea of a small state and as for individual liberty, this Government revels in destroying it. On the basis of no hard data whatsoever, we are, on the one hand, ordered to mask up and not meet more than five friends. But on the other hand, we are “strongly encouraged” to go back to working in offices (without masks and in groups of whatever size) whether we like it or not.

What is the army for? WokeTory MP for Wrexham, Sarah Atherton, yanks my chain again

The army is there so that if our nation is threatened, they can go and kill the bad guys. I don’t care who is in the army, just so long as they are folks who I can rely on to go and kill bad people. That is why we have an army. It is not there as a decorative force to mirror society. Only fruitcakes on the left worry about quotas. Do we really need 0.2% of soldiers to be transgender and 2% to be LGBT? Or do the gays not matter in this game and we should only focus on women soldiers and those from ethnic minority backgrounds?  And why pick on the army and not other public sector bodies? Surely we have a right to know how many gay and lesbian dustbin operatives there are? From what I gather, that sector is mostly entirely male. Why is that? Where is the gender equality in dustbins?

I look in detail at yesterday's results from Eden Research (EDEN).  Would you Adam & Eve it? There's lots of snakes in that garden. I look at the request for an EGM of Pathfinder Minerals (PFP) to out useless Nick Trew and NED Toff Tory Sir Henry Bellingham MP of 3DM infamy. Sir Henry I have a score to settle and I have a warning for you about what I plan. If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Nutso Green MP Caroline Lucas talks of Climate Breakdown - otherwise known, when its warmer, as...

Given that the world is actually getting colder, the Arctic sea ice is expanding, the word global warming was expunged from the dictionary by believers in the bogus religion some years ago. But I guess when folks think of "climate change" they still have visions of polar bears on melting ice caps, desertification, etc. So as UK temperatures plunge below zero (again) and snow - which the loons told us a in 2000 that kids would not know by now - covers much of the country (again), the believers in this religion have a problem.

Putting Peter Tatchell on the spot - should there be fewer gay MPs?

Let's be clear, Peter Tatchell is a heroic campaigner for free speech and LGBT rights and, as I have noted before, he is a hero of mine. But he seems unable to answer a question I posed him last night? It is very simple.

Tory MP Anna Soubry you are a collaborator, you are a disgrace and you should stop bleating and lecturing a free press

Arch remoaner Anna Soubry was yesterday bleating about press coverage of her and 14 other Tory MPs who are going to make it as hard as possible to pass Brexit legislation. Soubry views terms like "collaborator" as offensive and links it directly to the fact that she had received 5 threatening tweets on this matter.

So if Labour is really serious about sexual harassment what about Fiona Jones MP?

Fiona Jones died a decade ago of alcohol related illness. She was a broken woman found dead lying among empty vodka bottles. Just a decade earlier she had been elected to Parliament as the MP for Newark, a Blair Babe with all to look forward to. But things all went horribly wrong for her. And a major factor in that was alleged sexual harassment by a very senior minister in the Blair and Brown governments and everyone at Westminster and in the media knows who.

Caroline Lucas links Hurricane Irma to climate change - tasteless but worse, groundless fake news

Harpie Green MP Caroline Lucas attempted to hijack a debate about the Government's feeble response to Hurricane Irma by banging on about how the storm was caused by man made climate change or, as we used to call it before the world started getting colder, global warming. Rightly she was slammed for being a shameless opportunist, pontificating in the face of real human suffering. But there is a bigger inconvenient truth...the humourless bitch just has not been reading her history books. Something she fails to grasp as she bleats away on twitter.

Why to hate Tory MPs part 56: Heidi Allen you are a patronising bitch

In today's Sunday Times there is a long piece about how Tory MPs are being pressurised by party members to ditch hapless Prime Minister Theresa May as soon as possible. But one quote stands out. It is from MP Heidi Allen and reminds me why I loathe the Tory establishment with such a passion. I may vote Tory but I know that most Tory MPs are just loathsome poltroons convinced of their own superiority to the rest of us. Heidi states:

Tom Winnifrith Postcard: the Predictable, cowardly and wrong response of the media and MPs to the Westminster terror attack

The platitudes are raining in from Westminster. The journalists who live in the bubble that surrounds Halitosis Hall are downing us with the same nonsense. In an urge to offend no-one we are being spun lies from the Ministry of Truth. The response from the elites to the awful attack in Westminster was predictable but none the less disappointing in the extreme as I discuss in this podcast. Channel 4 is worthy of its own special condemnation for its fake news coverage of the incident HERE.

Joanna Cherry of the SNP on Question Time - deficit denying brain of a pea

Joanna Cherry MP is the sort of pea-brained individual who seems to rise effortlessly to the top of the SNP. She speaks precisely and with an assurance that she must be correct. The only problem is that she talks almost complete nonsense. She starred on the BBC's Question time last week and served up such a total corker on the deficit that the hand picked audience of leftard had almost audible orgasms of delight.

Christmas Comes early for Marine Le Pen as rival Fillon exposed for handing $538,000 of taxpayers cash to his Mrs

No doubt those on the Wimmins March on Saturday who are always bleating on about how Hillary Clinton was held back by a "glass ceiling" will be delighted with the early Christmas present for sister Marine Le Pen as she seeks to become France's next President. Hang on: gender was an issue in the US but in the French contest it is politics so the wimmin want Le Pen to lose.(As it happens so do I)

Her present is a revelation that Francois Fillon (the only person who can beat Le Pen) appears to have paid his British Mrs Penny, more than a few pennies do be his assistant. In fact she earned around $538,000 according to newspaper Canard Enchaine which says that it can find no-one at all who saw her doing any work at all for her husband in his capacity as MP for the Sarthe region.

Oh dear.

The Newsnight Brexit panel - the BBC does not even pretend to be impartial any more

When a broadcaster that we are forced to pay for abandons any pretence of impartiality with its news coverage, the great unwashed who earn a fraction of the salaries of the star presenters, and even B list camera candy, have every right to be angry. That is where we are at with the BBC right now. last night's Newsnight from the Tory conference marked a new low point. A panel was assembled to discuss Brexit.

Leading the pack was Guardian journalist Andrew Rawnsley, a lefty and a Remainer. Then there was Tory MP Heidi Allen who campaigned for Remain. Third up there was Tory peer, journalist and Cameron biographer Danny Finkelstein. He too was a remainer. Finally there was Jenni Russell a journalist who went from the BBC to C4 to the Guardian and New Statesman and is now at the Times and was described as a "key member of the new establishment". Jenni is left of centre and, of course, voted to Remain.

So the 48% of the country and 30% of Tory

The pious sanctimony of the loathsome Keith Vaz as the taxpayer takes it up the arse again

I do not care a jot that Keith Vaz offers to buy coke for young men who he pays to have unprotected anal sex with. Nor do I care that reports are emerging showing that his pattern of behavior is not a one off. I feel sorry for Mrs Vaz who must be feeling very confused right now, not knowing which way to turn. But Vaz himself has no shame.

The oily old windbag has a history of sinning normally in the cash for favours department and in any normal job would have been fired years ago. But Vaz is an MP. And so yesterday he stood down from the Commons Home Affairs committee which he chaired. Naturally he said that he was doing so "for the sake of the committee"" not for himself you understand, Vaz makes this noble sacrifice for others because he cares. What a saint.

And naturally

Cloudtag - the press is part of the problem of AIM Corruption, not the solution

The Mail on Sunday is such a truly vile publication that as a service to this website, I read it so that you do not have to, just in case it contains anything of interest. This week amid the usual nonsense about how immigrants give you cancer and a scoop about loathsome crook Keith Vaz MP playing away from his Mrs with a couple of Polish rentboys, the paper covers ramp de jour Cloudtag (CTAG). Needless to say the coverage is shocking.

The weekly small cap round up is penned by Ian Lyall of Proactive Investors, a company which earns its money taking money from small caps to help them ramp their shares. As such this column does not go big on investigative fraud busting or hard hitting analysis. It mght as well be written by Justin the Clown or Zak Mir so packed is it with sacharine piffle.

And so we come to Cloudtag where Lyall notes:

I reflect on the killing of the Dallas Cops and the two innocent young black men gunned down by the Police and on the death of Jo Cox MP: what it says about race relations in the USA, how we too often judge contemporary events outside the context of history, what it says about how we treat those with mental health issues on both sides of the pond and finally on the double standard of the hateful liberal mind.

Tory MP Alan Duncan - You are My servant not vice versa, if you dont like fair scrutiny fuck off

In the debate about the Panama Papers and how Dodgy Dave Cameron has now published his tax returns, slimey Tory MP Alan Duncan stood up to say how important it was that ordinary MPs did not have to follow suit. The gist of Duncan's argument was that if hard working MPs had to disclose all their financial affairs a number of top notch fellows would simply opt not to be MPs and as such the Commons would be filled with, what this squirt terms, "low achievers".

Mr Duncan, being an odious little man, forgets that MPs are our servants not vice versa. It is the taxpayer

On Thursday the good folks of Clacton in the green and pleasant county of Essex vote in a by-election caused by sitting MP Douglas Carswell resigning his seat. Weekly prize caption Contest – Tory MP Mark Menzies in rentboy and drugs scandal

As a supporter of both gay equality and also a believer in the decriminalisation of prostitution (more on that next week) and of drugs, in an ideal world Tory MP Mark Menzies would today still be a junior minister. But we do not live an in ideal world and thus news that Menzies paid £250 to bunk up with a 19 year old Brazilian rent boy and asked him to buy drugs on his behalf has seen Menzies step down as a junior minister.

In a sense I feel sorry for the chap. But then I read that on the gay marriage bill last year he voted yes but had said he planned to abstain. Why cannot he a little bit more honest about the fact that he is gay. After all, his boss – until today – Alan Duncan is openly gay.

And so the long line of Tory MPs and gay sex scandals goes on. Harvey Proctor (rend boys), Ted Heath (warned for cottaging but hushed up at the time), Stephen Milligan (died playing sex games with an orange), David Ashby (shared bed with male friend on holiday “to save money”), Jerry Hayes (under age sex). Right now Tory MP Nigel Evans is on trial accused of gay rape.

Surely someone should tell these chaps that as the law stands certain activities are somewhat unwise. In light of this all I simply re-run the picture from last week and invite you to post your captions in the comments section below.

Weekly Caption Contest – White Dee Edition

White Dee is a character from the Channel 4 shows “Benefits Street”. Until 2007 she worked for Birmingham City Council but was then sacked for stealing £13,000. Has she repaid that dosh or gone to prison? Of course not, this is Britain in 2014.

Today she rakes in £200 a week in benefits tax free and is unable to work because she is “too depressed”. Of that £200 she reckons that £120 goes on junk food for her and her family and then there are the 20 cigarettes a day. I expect they are bought “under the counter” but that will still be another £35.

She cheerfully admits that there are folks out there working really hard to clear £100 a week but White Dee is too “depressed” to join them. Heck £200 a week tax free is the equivalent of £12-13,000 a year working and so why the hell should she work. I do not blame her for choosing a life of being a scrounging parasite, I blame our welfare system for not forcing her to work. That would make her depressed.

Instead she is apparently planning to trouser £60,000 appearing on celebrity Big Brother or to run for parliament as an MP (she supports Labour natch). At least as an MP she would feel at home with the other state fund parasites and thieves at Westminster.

And so I invite you to look at this lazy lardball below and as you think about getting up early tomorrow morning to go to work, think about how she is living off your taxes. Post a suitable caption in the comment section below by next Friday:

For what it is worth my entry is:

David Ward MP, the Jew Hating bastard the Lib Dems just won’t get rid off

Jew hating MP David Ward (Lib Dem Bradford) is at it again. The man was (eventually) chastised by his party for comparing the Israelis to the Nazis but he remains an MP despite that little outburst. You might have thought the Jew hating scumbag would stay silent but think again.

Ywo weeks ago he opined that he did not think that Israel should be abolished, merely that it should never have been founded. The Lib Dem party leadership said nothing.

And why should they? Heck: Israel is a homeland for the Jews. It is only the frigging Jews after all.

And now for Ward’s latest outburst in which he says that the problems the Roma face in coming to Britain would all be solved if they had a “Board of Deputiies”. Hmmmm. There is of course only only minority group that has a Board of Deputies and we have all read the Protocols of Zion and know that they control the world and can do what they want, don’t we Mr Ward?

Are the Lib Dems jew haters? I think that they may be many things but Jew haters they are not. Mr Ward on the other hand….he seems the sort of chap who would fit in well with the loathsome bigots in the UKIP Friends of Palestine.

Liam Fox reminds me: V for Vendetta – Time for an annual viewing

It is perhaps not the greatest film ever made but for those of us who instinctively mistrust and despise the political class it is worth watching at least once a year and with November 5 approaching now is as good a time as any.

The squalor of the 3p expense claim made by Liam Fox MP (personal wealth estimated at £1 million) just reminded me how much I loathed those who rule us. Fox wants to restrict abortion, he opposes gay marriage, he voted for a smoking ban (and then against), he voted for the illegal war in Iraq, he thinks he has a right to tell us how we should live our lives, what we should do with our own bodies. And then that we should recompense him three frigging pence because he cannot be bothered to walk 100 yards down the road.

Fox is by far and away not the most despicable member of the political class. He is merely one of many despicable members of that class who trough it big time as they make our world ever more authoritarian and unpleasant.

If you have never seen, the speech from V for Vendetta have a butchers and then get the whole movie out on DVD in time for Guy Fawkes night.

Call Me Dave on “Exporting Gay Marriage” – wrong on every count

Call Me Dave this week boasted that he wanted “to export gay marriage” around the world. I support the idea that gay men and women should be allowed to get married and divorced just like straight couples. Why should the misery of this institution be the preserve of heterosexuals? Spread the pain. But at every level David Cameron MP just shows himself up as a member of a metropolitan Elite with a particular world view which makes me despise ever more.

My starting point is that as a libertarian I believe that you have every right to do whatever you want with your own body. As such there should be no differentiation in law between gay folk and straight folk. Homosexuality, like playing Hockey, watching Golf or going to Ibiza has never appealed to me personally but whatever floats your boat. So

Friday Caption Contest on a Sunday - Syria Madness Edition

I was tempted to lead on the news that a Tory MP who I had never heard of was given a standing ovation and embraced warmly at a meeting of his local association this week. For saying that the EU was a joke? That he believed in low taxes, reform of the welfare state or that he took a tough line on law and order? Be serious this is Call Me Dave's new look Tory Party and so it could only be one thing...Daniel Kawczynski outed himself as the UK's first openly bisexual MP. Great..like we give a damn who you shag but it would be kind of pleasing if you could cut the deficit/stand up to the EU, etc.

Now if an MP were to out himself as the UK's first MP not to fiddle his expenses that really would be something. Anyhow it has made Dave Cameron happy. Whatever. But instead I turn to red blooded heterosexual MP William Hague, aka the foreign secretary who would like to be a real macho man ( a great song by those other neo-Cons the YMCA) and get us all involved in the war in Syria. Wow after all the success we have had with our interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Egypt (in flames this weekend) lets make it five straight wins and send lots of weapons (paid for by the UK Money Tree) off to the Islamofascist rebels in Syria.

Please post your captions to this picture in the comments section below by 9 AM on Friday.

AFC Energy, sleazy MP Tim Yeo and the question of cash

AFC Energy (AFC) listed on AIM in April 2007 with a stated aim of commercialising its fuel cell technology. Its chairman then and now was sleazy MP Tim Yeo. Investors in the original placing were told that the company would deliver multiple systems to customers by August 2008. Yup. Right. Natch that has not happened and the old guard (except sleazy Tim) departed a year ago. The New CEO Ian Williamson seems a decent fellow (we chatted today) but the current valuation (up 31% today thanks to a tip in the Mail on Sunday) is absurd. The valuation, the question of cash and the role of the sleazebag chairman are all matters of concern.

Louise Mensch – what don’t you get about freedom you silly cow?

Last summer we thought that we had heard the last of the dreadful author of crap books Louise Mensch after she got bored of being a Tory MP and quit to spend more time with her family in the US. I guess it is late morning NY time but Mensch’s poor kids have not seen much of mummy so far today as she has spent all morning on twitter.

First up she stuck the boot into RadFem2013. Good for you Louise.

Then she found comments made by a twitterer called @petercoles44 offensive and started tweeting insanely about how someone should call the Met Police, twitter should boot him off, etc.

Coles has now deleted his tweet which offended Mensch prompting the devoted mother to tweet:

Coles appears to have deleted his tweet before the police come knocking at the door. Now make me a sandwich, troll. #feminism

So it is okay for Mensch to stick the boot into the dungaree wearing loons at RadFem2013 in a way which might offend the crackpot wimmin but if someone says something Mensch finds offensive she threatens to call the Old Bill who – as we know – are all too keen on arresting tweeters.

Ooooooo #Girlpower or should that be #fascistcow or #killfreespeech

Friday caption Contest on a Saturday - Money Tree edition

No winners from last week’s contest. Let’s hope for more inspired entries this week.  And on that matter as I see I am being bashed on twitter for suggesting that we do not give EVEN more money to the world’s third largest employer because the UK Government has so much to spend I come to Mr Ed Balls, MP.

Apparently Ed reckons that the last Labour Government was not profligate and is now starting to outline his vision for how he will bankrupt Britain within five years starting 2015. Sorry, I meant to say: how he will like Gordon Brown be prudent and manage the Nation’s finances responsibly.

Mr P the Tory MP who wanted a threesome with his lesbian housekeeper – it gets better

The industrial tribunal concerning Tory MP  Mr P, Mrs P and their former lesbian housekeeper gets better and better. I am praying intensely that the housekeeper wins as this is a real corker if true.  Naturally if she does win Mr P will do the “honourable thing” like bribe taking Patrick Mercer (Con) or pervert Lib Dem MP Mike Hancock and ….carry on in Parliament claiming full pay and perks.

As you may remember the live-in housekeeper is suing for unfair dismissal claiming Mr and Mrs P sexually harassed her and wanted a threesome.  You can read about that on this website here

Life in the P household sounds pretty highly charged. Mr P says that the lesbian housekeeper was in the habit of sunbathing naked. He does not seem to have minded as this went on for a long time. Meanwhile the housekeeper insists that Mr P would frequently walk around the house visible to both Mrs P and the domestic staff completely naked.

Back to basics, sleaze, the mid 1990s or is it 1963?

If it makes no investment by 21st December 2013 its shares will be booted off AIM. Tory MP wanted threesome with his lesbian housekeeper - tribunal told

You could not make this up…Call Me Dave’s Conservative party is not having a good week. Patrick Mercer MP is caught taking bribes, there is the Downing Street Sex Scandal but it gets better. A Tory MP (named only as Mr P) and his wife ( Mrs P) are up before an industrial tribunal. Their former housekeeper was a lesbian who had just split up with her partner. She claims that Mr & Mrs P made explicit sex moves on her and wanted a three in a bed session in their South Coast home. She was not interested and is now suing for constructive dismissal in an industrial tribunal which is underway as I write.

In case there is a God, I am fervently praying that a) the housekeeper wins and b) Mr P voted against gay marriage and has made a stack of statements about personal morality, getting back to basics, etc. Whatever one says about Call Me Dave’s Conservative party it is providing great entertainment at the moment.

Patrick Mercer MP is a crook – why is he still an MP?

Sleazey Tory Patrick Mercer MP has been caught red handed by Panorama taking money from a bogus lobbying firm to ask questions in Parliament about matters relating to Fiji. He did not declare his interests. He is a bribe taking common crook. Yet…

He has resigned the Tory whip to "avoid embarrassing his party" and says he will not seek re-election in 2015.  But until then he will carry on trousering a vast salary and expenses and at the end of it get a gold plated pension. His fellow Parliamentarians seem to think this is the “honourable” thing to do. Bollocks it is.

In the private sector such behaviour would result in instant dismissal without compensation. But this is the cozy club of the political classes where the old boys all stick together. One imagines that Mercer is not the only MP who is still taking cash for asking questions.

This should not be a matter on honour but a point of law. If an MP is “on the take” he or she should be fired without compensation at once. The refusal of the political classes to accept this is just another reason they are held in such contempt by the rest of us.

It's official Chris Huhne MP is a liar and a Criminal. This is UKIP’s big chance

Windfarm and general all round global warming nutter and Lib Dem MP Chris Huhne has for months protested his innocence on the charge of perverting the course of justice – that is to say getting his ex wife to take speeding points for him. Today he has pleaded guilty in Court. So Huhne is not only a liar but will very shortly be a convicted criminal too and, fingers crossed, heading off to gaol. Given that during his period of procrastination and lies he has continued to claim MP’s expenses might this multi millionaire now be required to pay them back? I doubt it. Does he get an MP’s normal payoff? I expect so.

And now we face a by-election in Eastleigh, formerly a Tory/Lib Dem marginal. It is hard not to see the Lib Dem vote collapsing given that they are nationally hated and the circumstances of the contest. In that part of the world Labour is about as popular as the late Jimmy Saville and so UKIP will be licking its lips. There is no threat of “letting Labour in” by voting UKIP in this one-off contest. One imagines that the traditional Tories of Eastleigh are not exactly enthused by the tone of Call Me Dave’s conservatism. And so this may be the day. The odds have to be on a result of Conservative, UKIP, Lib Dem, Labour and then the assorted loons, but you never know. I would imagine that round at UKIP headquarters the excitement is tangible.

Nick De Bois MP (Con) – Loathsome Bigot

Nick de Bois is a Conservative MP who I had never heard of until he popped up on my TV screen yesterday expressing his disappointment that there were to be no additional tax breaks handed out to married couples as a trade off for the Tories allowing gay marriage. His argument was that tax breaks should be given “to those who really need it” – married couples. What a loathsome bigot.

The State should not be in the business of using the taxes paid by all of us (whatever our personal state of affairs), to reward those whose lifestyles it approves off (i.e. married folk rather than those who opt to remain single or co-habit). There should be no financial bonuses for following one moral code rather than another.

Moreover it is patently NOT married couples who most need tax breaks. Those who most need tax breaks (in fact taking out of the tax system altogether) are low earners as that makes work rather than welfare a more attractive option. Increasing the gap between those who opt to work on low incomes rather than living off the state should be the focus of change in the tax system. Whether low earners are married or not is irrelevant. And why should high earners get a break just because they follow a lifestyle approved by moral gauleiters such as Nick de Bois MP?

That this horrible little man thinks that concessions need to be handed out to get him to support gay marriage says it all, about him. As long as it effects no third party in an adverse fashion folks should be allowed to do what they want and in terms of sexuality that means that gays should be allowed to get married, go to bathhouses or whatever. It does not float my boat but it should not be up to me, the State or the loathsome de Bois to dictate acts of personal choice.

Nick de Bois MP you are a loathsome bigot. And an economic illiterate to boot.
